Eat Until it Hurts

I've been taking great advantage of what I think may be one of the best kept secrets in town: Sunday Brunch at Thunder Bay Grille. You can eat a ridiculous amount of food for $9.99 and satisfy just about any type of craving. Last week, I had 4 plates of food, ranging from biscuits & gravy, build-your-own omelettes, and pastries to jambalaya, roast beef, and alfredo pasta. My husband, who decided to go on the Atkins diet the following day, decided to engorge in a plate of only carbs - 3 waffles with different types of fruit, topped off with hot syrup. While he was at it, he threw a couple of desserts in as well. I wonder why my clothes feel tight?

Greasy Salty Goodness

Since I am entirely too food-motivated, I thought I'd talk about chips. Not fancy, crazy-flavored chips or (gasp!) baked chips (which should be outlawed, by the way). Just yummy, tasty, greasy, crunchy, salty, dippable fried discs of potato goodness. I have fond memories of going to the old Ole Salty's store to get a warm, greasy brown paper bag full of fresh chips, or heading out to Mrs. Fisher's to get a bucket (yes - bucket) of chips and eating them until it hurt. If you haven't tried them you should. And if you're worried about junk food, just focus on the fact that you're supporting the local economy. Works for me every time!

Be Kind to Your Mailman

Remember, those living near and in contact with our homes are the most vulnerable to Curb Appeal Disasters (CADs). Mailboxes are no exception but until now, nobody has had the courage to stand up and expose such unsightly eccentricities. Your Ugly Mailbox - making the world a better place for our brave postal carriers.
